Writing Skills (Format & Tips)
1. Descriptive Paragraph (Person/Place/Event)
Goal: Describe a person, place, or event vividly using sensory details.
Word
Limit: 100-120 words.
Title (Optional but good)
Introduction: Introduce the person/place/event. Who/Where/What is it?
Body:
- Person: Physical appearance (eyes, height, clothes), Personality (kind, rude, helpful), Habits.
- Place: Location, Sights, Sounds, Atmosphere/Vibe.
- Event: Occasion, Decorations, Activities, Feelings.
Conclusion: Your personal opinion or final thought. Why is this person/place/event special
to you?
2. Diary Entry
Tone: Informal, personal, and emotional. Write as if talking to a friend.
Tense: Mostly Past Tense (describing what happened) + Future for hopes (e.g., "I
hope to...").
Date: 20th February 2025
Day: Thursday
Time: 9:00 PM (Usually night)
Dear Diary,
Opening: (Express emotion) - "I am so happy/sad/shocked today because..." or
"What a terrible day it was!"
Body: Describe the event. Who did what? How did you feel? Be honest. Use "I", "My".
Conclusion: (Future hope/Final thought) - "I hope tomorrow will be better." or
"Good night now, I am sleepy."

3. Story Writing
Structure: Beginning -> Middle (Climax/Problem) -> End (Resolution).
Cues: Always include the given starting line or hints.
TITLE (Catchy & Relevant, e.g., "The Hidden Treasure")
**(Start with the given cue if any)**
Once upon a time... (Introduction of characters & setting).
Plot/Action: Introduce a problem or twist. The character faces a challenge. Build suspense.
Climax: The most exciting part where the problem is at its peak.
Conclusion: The problem is solved. Happy/Sad ending.
Moral: (Optional, write only if asked or fits well) - "Greed is a curse."
